Varna Summer School, 26-29.09.2023
In a quest to foster creativity and provide a unique platform for intellectual exploration, the MILIEU project organized two remarkable Hands-On Workshops as part of the series “Techniques to Enhance Creativity and Focus.” These captivating art sessions, led by the skilled facilitator Senior Assistant Snejanka Stoyanova from IPS-BAS, left an indelible impression on participants.
Held at the Doctoral School on September 26 and 27, 2023, the workshops titled “Behind the Door of Time – The Meeting with Our True Self” and “Journey to My Dream Place” respectively, spanned three engaging hours each. The primary objective was to provide a distinctive space for PhD students to reflect, rejuvenate their creativity, and embark on a journey of self-discovery.
The workshops, centered around clay modeling, offered a profound exploration of self and thought. Attendees were encouraged to translate their abstract concepts into tangible, physical forms, turning their ideas into expressive works of art. This hands-on experience provided doctoral candidates with a unique opportunity to delve into their inner selves, fostering an environment of expression and reflection on their imaginations and creativity.
These initiatives underline MILIEU’s commitment to empowering the next generation of scholars. By combining artistic expression with intellectual exploration, the project not only facilitates effective communication among scientists but also nurtures an environment of collaborative learning. The success of these workshops reflects the dedication of the IPS Summer School in Varna to academic excellence and the holistic development of aspiring scholars.
